Congress mulls afresh on ‘prospective’ Rayala-Telangana

According to highly placed sources in national capital, Congress High Command was mulling on Rayala- Telangana demand, which it reportedly considered to be more prospective in terms of votes and seats.

As an inference, the officers of Intelligence Bureau started calling all political leaders of Telangana to get their response on the Rayala- Telangana issue. Reliable sources in TDP said IB officers called up several Telangana leaders of their party, including Motkupalli Narasimhulu and asking whether they support forming Rayala Telangana?
It is also known that Congress high command also instructed the Group of Ministers looking into the bifurcation issue to keep demand of Rayala Telangana in mind before Telangana report is finalized. On Monday, several political leaders reportedly got calls from Intelligence Bureau officers.
Confirming that he got call from IB officers on the new proposal, TDP leader Motkupalli Narasimhulu pulled up Congress for mooting the idea of Rayala-Telangana. According to him, Rayala –Telangana was brought forth by Congress only to stall formation of Telangana state. He further said, his party colleagues including Thummala Nageswara Rao and L Ramana also received the phones from IB officials.
Acting on the reports, BJP leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy also opined that the new idea of Rayala Telangana was propped just to delay the process of Telangana. However, BJP state president Kishan Reddy, who is firm on separate Telangana state with 10 districts, said he did not receive any call.
Congress MLA and former state minister Ramreddy Damodar Reddy soon took exception on IB calling political leaders to mend them in favour of Rayala Telangana.
