Vijayawada: Demanding fulfillments of the assurances that were made to Andhra Pradesh state including Special Category Status, AP Congress leaders will be launching a protest programme in the national capital on March 6 and 7.
In this connection, the Andhra Pradesh Congress delegation led by APCC chief N Raghuveera Reddy will fly to Delhi.
Speaking to media persons, Raghuveera Reddy defended the then Congress-led UPA government saying that the party had compensated the state with all constitutional provisions and benefits during the time of bifurcation. Prior to the two-day protest, the Congress will hold awareness programmes in villages and stage mandal-level protests in Andhra Pradesh, he said.
