Hyderabad: Senior Congress leader and the chairperson of the Public Accounts Committee of the Telangana legislative assembly Ramreddy Venkat Reddy passed away on Friday.He was 72 and is survived by wife and two daughters.
Venkat Reddy, who has been suffering from acute pulmonary disorders, was being treated in the ICU at KIMS hospital in Hyderabad for quite sometime. The end came on Friday, when he suffered a massive cardiac stroke.
Ramreddy Venakt Reddy represented Palair assembly constituency in Khammam district. He was elected to the Assembly for five times and had served as a minister in the YS Rajasekhara Reddy and Kiran Kumar Reddy cabinets.
Several leaders including Telangana chief minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao condoled the death of the senion legislator.
