Congress fields candidate for Nandigama bypoll

Former AP PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana on Wednesday said that Congress would contest from Nandigama assembly constituency bypolls. He said the Congress would do this to fight against TDP government on behalf of the public.

Speaking to reporters in Vijayawada, Botsa said that his party has fielded Babu Rao against the TDP nominee.
The bye-election was necessitated after the seat fell vacant following the demise of TDP MLA Tangirala Prabhakar. His party has decided to filed a candidate to focus on TDP's failure to implement its election promises. " They said youth will get jobs if Babu comes to power. Now that he came, jobs have gone," Botsa said sarcastically adding that Chandrababu's government totally failed to implement waiver of agricultural and DWCRA loans as it promised before the general elections.
Contest has become inevitable for the Nandigama assembly seat in the by-poll slated for September 13 as the Congress party fielded its candidate despite the ruling TDP's effort to make the election unanimous.
