A crucial meeting of the Congress core group on Friday began at Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's residence to discuss the Telangana issue.
Among those who met included party chief Sonia Gandhi, vice president Rahul Gandhi, A.K. Antony, Sushilkumar Shinde, Digvijaya Singh, Ghulam Nabi Azad and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, Botsa Satyanarayna and Damodar Rajanarasimha.
The three AP leaders are likely to make their presentations separately before the core committee, which will then discuss the issue.
The state waits with bated breath to know what Congress Core Committee has to decide on the Telangana issue.
