Cong-TDP nexus exposed

The late Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy's daughter  Sharmila today expressed profound gratitude to the people for exposing the unholy nexus between the Congress and the Telugu Desam Party and their conspiracy to keep YS Jagan in jail.

She thanked everyone for openly expressing their discontent against both the parties by wearing black badges. Sharmila's Maro Praja Prastanam Padayatra which entered second-day reached Vemula.

Addressing a gathering at Vemula in the YSR district, she said that nobody believes the assurances of TDP cheif Chandrababu Naidu as he had neglected the welfare of the farmers during his nine-year rule. During the Naidu era,  4,000 farmers committed suicide. The present Government which has come to power on the strength of  YSR's dedicated work, charisma and popularity, is also neglecting the welfare of the people. The ongoing problems in the state are due to government's lack of foresight, she added.

In the past two days, Sharmila  interacted with all sections of people including a large number of farmers, and promised them that they would take all steps for their welfare if the YSRCP comes to power in the next elections.  During her second day of Padayatra, she inspected the fields where she was shocked to see the badly affected crop.

Farmers complained to her in unison that they are vexed with the anti-people policies of present Government and the earlier Naidu's tenure. Sharmila  reminded them that welfare of farmers was the top priority of her late father Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and the same policy would be continued by YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Sharmila's padayatra passed through Rajiv Nagar Colony, Nandipalle, Thallapalle before she entered Duggannagaripalle, Ammayyagaripalle and then moved to Chagaleru Cross, Gondipalli Cross, V.Kottapalle and Vemula. Sharmila drew tremendous response at all the places that she visited today.

Meanwhile, YSRCP leader Konathala Ramakrishna today said that Chandrababu Naidu was scared on seeing the overwhelming response from the people to Sharmila's Maro Prajaprasthanam. Talking to mediapersons in Hyderabad, he criticized Naidu for his false promises to farmers.
He said he will work under the guidance of YS Jagan to realise the ideals of YSR and the party will take up all programmes in the interests of the people.
