Complaint filed against Dayanidhi swami for sexual assault

A police complaint of sexual assault and corrupt activities was filed against the self-proclaimed Swami Dayanidhi and some of his followers belonging to Paderu in Visakhapatnam District on Thursday.

The complaint was filed by a group of women.  In the complaint they said that the Swamiji was assaulting women  and was also collecting money in the name of a trust and using that money for illegal activities.

They first complained to Home Minister Sabita Indira Reddy. Later, the Home Minister ordered an inquiry by the police.

"The complaint has just been filed and after verifying the facts, we will be registering an FIR", Superintendent of Police Paderu said.
