Co-operative society elections: Clashes between parties

With the polling for co-operative society elections underway, there were clashes in several districts between parties.

In Chittor district, several voters alleged that their votes were used by some others.

Tension prevailed in West Godavari district when there was a clash between two groups at the polling booth. The police intervened and resorted to mild lathicharge to disperse them.

Three parties including Congress, TDP and YSRCP workers pelted stones at each other  resulting to tension  in Avulunna village in Ananthapur district.

Similar incidents were reported from several places including Guntur, Kurnool and Narsaraopeta.
