CM's Delhi tour brings hopes on cabinet expansion

Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy is leaving for Delhi on Thursday. Though he is proceeding to Delhi for an official meeting, his two-day tour drew estimations over cabinet revamping.

It is expected that the axe may fall on some more ministers after the removal of Dharmana and Sabita. Speculations are rife over inducting some new faces into the cabinet after dropping some ministers. However, some factions in the Congress opine that there would be no such move in view of the Assembly session beginning from June 10. Kiran tour to Delhi may widen the hopes of some aspirants of the Home Ministry.

Deputy Chief Minister Damodara Rajanarasimha, one of the strongest contenders of Home department, had made all his efforts to get the post. He had called on some important leaders in Delhi and made clear his intention to become Home Minister.

Meanwhile, Congress spokesperson Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy, who is also one of the aspirants for cabinet berth told media persons on Wednesday that some ministers should sacrifice their posts and held the party to come with flying colours in the next elections.
