CM Kiran breaks rule, visits blast site

Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy's presence at the blast site has not gone down too well with the centre. CM's visit to the blast scene has invited the wrath of many political leaders, including home minister Sushil Kumar Shinde.

The home minister clearly said in a statement that it wasn't right on the part of Andhra Pradesh chief minister to pay a visit yo the site for it would not just create chaos at the already messed up place, but will also compromise crucial evidence.

An hour after the blasts took place, the chief minister was seen visiting the site of tragedy followed by his security men as well as congress supporters.

One look at the visuals of the blast scene and it was easy to tell that panic-stricken people were already running for their lives. And the Kiran's presence only added to the chaos!

When an event of such nature takes place, a CM's primary responsibility is to send forces to take charge of the situation and lessen the tension in the atmosphere. If it was out of ignorance or if he was out to make his presence felt, Kiran Kumar Reddy went ahead and broke the golden rule.

Shinde is obviously upset with this which means Kiran is no longer in his good books.

A senior congress leader, abid khan defended the CM, saying Kiran went there only to reassure people.

However, the buzz in the political circles is that the cm was there to get some votes. It's a known fact that during such situations, politicians try every trick in the book to get maximum mileage and earn some brownie points. But what is the need of the hour is that political parties must rise above the divide in such occasions in the best interests of the society.
