On the other hand, EAMCET-2 leakage and consequences are taking another twist as students are demanding for cancellation of the medical entrance, while rankers and their parents are raising voice against it. Students unions organized protests at JNTU, Osmania University and Secretariat demanding for action against those who’re responsible and involved in leakage in EAMCET test.
On the other side, rankers in EAMCET-2 and their parents are protesting in front of Secretariat demanding not to cancel the test. They express concerns over the cancellation of EAMCET-2 as it can cause injustice to sincere students. Just because some students have resorted to irregularities, thousands of students who have got ranks by studying sincerely should not be caused inconvenience.
“We demand Telangana Government to take action against those who involved in leakage and remove the culprits from ranks list. After doing this, the state government can go ahead with counseling,” said a student, who got ranke below 500.
As speculation about EAMCET II cancellation began, Parents and students started gathering in front of Secretariat Friday morning onwards. The protest which started at morning has been continuing with more and more students and parents joining. Parents including women in large number raised slogans demanding ‘We want justice’, ‘Down Down Health Minister’, ‘CM KCR should interfere.
Another ranker said: “I have appeared for EAMCET three times and am totally stressed. As I got a good rank in EAMCET-2, I didn’t even take NEET II, if this EAMCETII is cancelled sincere students like us will suffer. We request Health Minister and CM KCR not to cancel EAMCET II.” Despite all these protests, no one from the State government either met the students and parents.
