Chilakaluripeta legislator Pattipati Pulla Rao escaped unhurt in a minor accident involving his car and a lorry near Ambedkar statue in Suryapet of Nalgonda district, about 100 km from Hyderabad, on Wednesday.
The accident occurred as the lorry hit the car in which Pulla Rao was travelling. The TDP leader was heading to Suryapet from Guntur.
The car was damaged in the mishap and no one was injured. The lorry, coming in the opposite direction and proceeding towards Guntur, hit the MLA's car head-on as the driver lost control of the wheel. The MLA was discharged from a local hospital where he was rushed soon after the mishap.
