Class 10 Girl Jumps Off School Building Owing To Harassment, Dies 

Kollam: In a tragic incident, a 15-year-old girl who jumped off her school building owing to allege harassment from staff has succumbed to injuries on Monday. The incident happened at Kollam's Trinity Lyceum School on Friday. The class 10 student objected to the punishment given to her younger sister, who was studying in the same school.

As part of punishment, her younger sister was made to sit with boys for talking in the class. The next day girl's mother spoke with the school management and was assured that such thing would not repeat. Later, in the day, the older girl was bullied by her younger sister’s classmates for her protest. To this, the girl in a hasty manner jumped off the building. Police filed case against two teachers for abetment to suicide. Investigation is underway.
