Chittoor: Married woman gangraped

In a ghastly incident, eight persons allegedly gangraped a married woman at Donapalli of Chowdepalli mandal in Chitoor district.

This incident happened a week ago, but came to light only today after the victim lodged a complaint with the police.

A case has been registered and the police has begun investigation.

Now for some details on the case: It is learnt that the woman was on her way to the fields. She came across a group of men consuming alcohol and playing cards. Chicken was also being cooked.

The 45 year-old woman who loved chicken reportedly asked one of the men to give her some chicken. The men learnt that the woman also had the habit of drinking alcohol and offered her alcohol which she accepted. The women later slipped into an inebriated state.

Taking advantage of the situation, the gang of six people took turns to rape her after she lost consciousness.

When the seventh person was raping her, she woke up and attacked him. However, the seventh person gave her the shocking news that she had  already been raped by six men.
They also took away her gold. However, village heads returned the gold to her.

The victim's husband alleged that the village heads were forcing them to withdraw the case. He also said that last night two constables even forced them to sign on a blank white paper.
