Children Miss Father’s Funeral Due To Demonetization

Palasa (Srikakulam): The demonetization of notes has hit hard a family in Tekkalipatnam as the three children couldn’t see their father for the last time and were unable to perform the last rites.

Kokkila Karavayya (52) breathed his last on Thursday and looking at the plight of deceased wife K Narayanamma the entire village came forward donating the amount to perform the last rites.

Narayanamma’s three children work in Hyderabad as laborers at a construction site and none of them came to see their father as they couldn’t exchange the Rs 1,000 notes for their travel.
