Tirupati: More than Rs 4 lakh crore public money was swindled by chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu during his 3-year-rule in Andhra Pradesh, YSRCP spokesman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy said .

Addressing the media during 'YSR Kutumbam' here on Saturday, he wondered how can Chandrababu certify himself and his government as corruption-free. "The TDP chief grew politically by promoting corruption since he forayed into politics and also made others corrupt in his party and government. In 1978, Chandrababu owned only 2 acres of land. By 2017, his asset value increased to Rs 4 lakh crore. Several media organisations also exposed Chandrababu's corrupt practices during his regime between 1995 and 2004," Karunakar Reddy said. The YSRCP branded Chandrababu as India's biggest corrupt political leader.

Meanwhile, YSRCP's Panyam MLA Gowru Charitha Reddy reiterated that the development of all sections of people in the state will be possible under the leadership of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. She said farmers lost hope in the TDP regime after they were cheated by the chief minister. Participating in 'YSR Kutumba' programme at Gadivemula village, the MLA assured farmers that several welfare programmes will be implemented once YS Jagan assumes office. The YSR Congress will bring cheers in the lives of all farmers and other poorer sections through 'Navaratnalu' announced by the party recently, she said.
