Chevireddy gets bail, arrested again by MR Palli Police

Chittoor: YSRCP senior leader and Chandragiri MLA Chevireddy Bhasker Reddy was re-arrested moments after he secured a bail on Saturday. Reddy was arrested on Friday in a case registered at Vadamala police station and released on bail on Saturday morning.

In the mean time, MR Palli Police arrived to arrest Chevireddy in connection with another case filed against him. Chevireddy resisted the police. His followers were also tried to prevent police officials from arresting Chevireddy. This created a high drama at Chittoor jail as Chevireddy and his followers staged a dharna in a protest against attempts of Police to arrest him. Later, he was taken into custody.

He was arrested under sections 147, 341, 448 as MR Palli Police booked cases against him for illegally entering into Sub-Collector’s office during night. Another case filed was against Chevireddy for violating election code during Anuppalli Panchayati elections, Ramachandrapuram mandal, in 2013.
