Cheque bounce case: Jeevitha gets bail

In a major relief to Telugu actress Jeevitha, the Erramanzil court in Hyderabad granted her bail in a case of cheque bounce on Monday.

Jeevitha was granted bail after she paid a fine of Rs 25 lakh and completed formalities.
Earlier in the day, the court sentenced while responding to a petition filed by producer Shekar Reddy stating that she gave Rs.22 lakhs cheque to him for a settlement of loan taken to make ‘Evadayithe Nakemiti’ movie.
The court also directed Jeevitha to furnish a personal bond of Rs 25 lakh and two sureties of the like amount.
A few hours after the verdict, the actress approached the court and paid the fine. She reportedly cried on the premises of the court and said that she was innocent.
