Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao called for improving the working quality of the police on par with international level.
He participated in the review of modernization of Telangana police held on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, he said, “The police system should be modernized to the level of New York police standards.”
In the meeting, Minister for Home Nayani Narasimha Reddy, DGP Anurag Sharma and top police officials participated.
KCR gave his nod to the police department to buy 1650 Innova vehicles and the required number of two wheelers.
He ordered the officials to change completely the dress code of the police personnel in the state.
He also ordered the officials to arrange the CCTV cameras to cover the entire area in twin cities.
