Chandrababu’s Swachh Rally Leaves Roads Littered

CM Chandrababu Naidu's much touted Swachch Andhra Pradesh drive had an unlikely anti-climax at Kakinada on Saturday. The government-sponsored programme saw good mobilisation of crowds for the rally. The rally was flagged off by Chandrababu, who called upon the people to keep their surroundings clean and hygienic.

However, after the rally was over, the roads were found littered with placards asking people to fight mosquito menace and torn pieces of pamphlets. Water bottles and plastic bags were found everywhere.

Chandrababu launched his anti-mosquito campaign, Swachh Andhra Pradesh campaign and Vanam Manam programme in Kakinada on Saturday. He also flagged off a rally and addressed a public meeting before leaving for Vijayawada by a chopper.

Chandrababu's visit is being seen as part of the TDP's electoral strategy to reach out to the people in Kakinada, which will soon go to civic polls.
