‘Chandrababu Plans To Sell RTC To Kesineni And Diwakar Travels’

Guntur: AP chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu plans to sell the state-owned Road Transport Corporation (RTC) to private operators such as Kesineni or Diwakar Travels, YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said.

Addressing a workers' rally at Guntur bus-stand on the occasion of May Day here on Monday, he said Chandrababu is in a hurry to privatise all public utilities and deprive the workers of their livelihood. He cited several instances in this regard. "In the name of rationalisation of colleges illogical decisions are being implemented in the running of colleges. These changes indicate that steps are being taken to sell these colleges to TDP loyalists such as P Narayana who runs the Narayana group of institutions," YS Jagan said. Similarly, power utilities such as AP Genco and AP Transco are being prepared to be sold to TDP minions such as Ramesh or Sujana Choudary, the YSRCP leader said.

"While the entire world is celebrating May Day to honour workers and labourers, AP chief minister has failed to take any steps for their welfare," YS Jagan said. The chief minister has failed to even implement his poll promise of regularisation of services of contract and outsourced workers, he said.
