Chandrababu Made AP Capital Mafia Hub: Jagan Mohan Reddy

Hyderabad: YSR Congress Party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday said the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is making the Vijayawada-Guntur capital region a mafia hub. With scam after scam coming out each day, the capital region is earning a bad image and the CM is directly responsible for this deplorable situation as he sitting very much in the new capital, Jagan said and urged the Governor ESL Narasimhan to intervene and prevent Chandrababu's clandestine operations.

Jagan spoke to media after meeting the Governor at Raj Bhavan along with party leaders.

"It was sand mafia that pushed sand prices too high to the middle class to build a house. Then land mafia that grabbed lands from the poor farmers in the name of capital. The recent incident of illicit liquor killed five poor people. Then this most heinous scandal of sex racket in the name of Call Money which is directly and indirectly supported by most of the TDP leaders. All this is happening with Chandrababu Naidu sitting in the capital region and this is a clear evidence that he is involved in all these scams," Jagan Mohan Reddy said and declared that his party will launch an agitation against the ruling party's clandestine activities.

Constitute Tribal Advisory Committee

Regarding the ongoing bauxite mining, Jagan Mohan demanded the constitution of a tribal advisory committee as provided in the Schedule 5 of Indian Constitution. The constitution clearly states that one-third of the members should be from tribal communities. As six out of seven tribal MLAs in the state are from YSRCP, Chandrababu is avoiding the formation of committee, he pointed out adding that his party will intensify the movement against the illegal bauxite mining in agency areas in the state.
