Prakasam District: Chief minister Chandrababu Naidu is running an administration of corruption and commissions and deceiving people through media management, Leader of Opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said.

Addressing a public meeting in Kandukuru in the district on the 91st day of the Praja Sankalpa Yatra, on Sunday, he said the chief minister is more focused on commissions through sand, liquor and realty contracts than the welfare of the people. "He is running a government based on back stabbing, lies and media management," the YSRCP president said. "Every section of the society wants the ouster of the TDP government. This is because every section was deceived by Chandrababu Naidu with his poll promises that were never implemented during the past four years. Farmers, DWCRA women, students, unemployed youth and senior citizens were deceived by the chief minister," he said.

The TDP government promised funds for unemployed youth but not a single rupee was paid to them till date, he said and added that the amount in the past four years amounted to Rs 95,000. Similarly, Aarogyasri was the lifeline of the people in medical emergencies, YS Jagan said. That scheme is gathering dust due to lack of funding and non-payment of salaries to the 108 staff, he said.

"Last year, Prakasam district witnessed a deficit rainfall. However, the state government is yet to officially declare drought-hit mandals. Also, there is no crop insurance for the drought-hit farmers. The district has over 7 lakh people under the employment-guarantee scheme, however, the government is least bothered about the need to provide them work," the YSRCP chief said.

Speaking about the YSRCP's Navaratnalu announced in the Guntur plenary, YS Jagan said that it caters to the welfare of each and every section of the society. He called on the people to publicise the failures of the TDP government and ensure its ouster.
