TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu was greeted by black flags that dotted along Devarakadra Constituency.
As Naidu entered the town to continue his 'Vastunna Mikosam' padayatra, pro-Telangana activists wearing black badges as a mark of protest, demanded a clear stand on the separate statehood issue.
A large group of pro-Telangana activists took out a rally in the constituency holding black flags. At some places, they also staged a sit-in protest with their black badges on.
The pro-Telangana activists demanded that Chandrababu Naidu clearly spell out his stance on Telangana and raised slogans of 'Chandrababu go back'. The protesters wondered how Naidu can tour the Telangana region, while he was not telling them what exactly he had on his mind on the issue.
Though Naidu had a smooth passage into the Telangana region when his padayatra entered Rajoli in Mahabubnagar district last Monday, he had to face wrath of protesters in the Devarakadra region.
