Hyderabad: Chief minister Chandrababu Naidu ditched the people of Andhra Pradesh after he failed to fulfill all his electoral promises and that is why the TDP is lost without a trace in the region, Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao said.

He was addressing an event to welcome Ramesh Rathod and P Ravinder Rao into the TRS fold. While Ramesh Rathod comes from the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Ravinder Rao is from the Congress party. Both hail from Adilabad district in Telangana. "The TRS has fulfilled most of its poll promises as evident from the massive victory in the civic polls and the by-polls in some districts during the past three years," he said. One of the top priorities of the TRS government was to provide irrigation water to the parched lands of Adilabad, KCR said and added that accordingly 70,000 acres received the much-needed water.

Coming down heavily on the Congress party for criticising the TRS, he said the Congress party has failed the people of the state. "There are no development works completed by the Congress worth mentioning. People are aware of this and therefore will not vote for it in the elections," Chandrasekhar Rao said. The TRS has promised uninterrupted power supply to the denizens of the state and that is apparent in the past three years of its rule, he said.

The TRS chief also criticised the Congress, BJP and TDP for commenting on the recent survey results which said that the pink party would get 111 assembly seats, followed by the AIMIM with 6 seats and the Congress with 2 seats.
