Nuziveedu: Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh assembly and YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy made a scathing attack on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and said that his lies have begun to scale new heights. Speaking at a massive public gathering as part of his historic outreach programme Praja Sankalpa Yatra here today, YS Jagan said Chandrababu deserved to be awarded Padma Bhushan for his acting prowess. Corruption was rampant in TDP's rule, from the Collectors to MLAs to Chinna Babu (Lokesh) and to Pedda Babu (Chandrababu), "everyone, at every stage is corrupt." YS Jagan said that after having everything in his power to block Special Category Status (SCS) to AP, he was now staging a hunger strike to misguide the people.

The YSRCP Chief said that his father and former chief minister late Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy had established IIIT in Nuziveedu to help the rural students gain access to latest education. Unfortunately, the AP CM was not bothered about the problems that the students of IIIT were facing, he said. YS Jagan expressed his concern over the death of eight students in the institute and was surprised that the government had not taken any action to solve the issue.

The Leader of the Opposition said less than half the water of the stipulated quota was reaching Nuziveedu from Nagarjuna Sagar. The government was insensitive to the plight of farmers and the people of the region, though this problem had persisted for the past two years, he observed. Even the mango producers were not getting minimum support price (MSP). Unfortunately, Chandrababu's rule was more interested in corruption and towards this end the TDP leaders were leaving no stone unturned, he accused.

YS Jagan pointed out that Chandrababu was cheating everyone, from farmers to women of self-help groups and unemployed. "If only Chandrababu had thought about the welfare of the state and asked his 20 MPs to join YSRCP five MPs on indefinite hunger strike in New Delhi, the entire country would have noticed our state and its plight. The centre would have been compelled to yield to our demands. Now he is playing yet another drama by saying give him 25 MPs he will get SCS to our state," the YSRCP Chief said and asked the masses to be wary of Chandrababu's false promises.
