Chandrababu confounded by ‘call money’ victims

Vijayawada: Chandrababu Naidu appeared to be confounded by the agitation of the victims of the call-money racket when they sought him out at the closing ceremony of the state Flowers and Fruits exhibition here on Tuesday.

The victims approached him saying it was the TDP leaders who were harassing them in the form of call money businessmen and sought the CM’s protection from the relatives of MLC Buddha Venkanna.

Chandrababu appeared to be confounded by their agitation. He warned them to stop agitating there and asked them to come and meet him at his camp office. After the ceremony, the victims submitted petitions to the chief minister. Shortly after the chief minister left the venue, Shivram an agitating victim was taken into custody by the police.
