YSRCP official spokesperson Ambati Rambabu said Chandrababu Naidu was showing both his indolence and frustration on the issue of special status to Andhra Pradesh.
Talking to mediapersons on Friday at Guntur, Ambati said the denial of permission to hold a deeksha demanding special status to the state and the efforts aimed at suppressing the movement for the special status smack of Chandrababu’s indolence and frustration. He said trying to snuff out a democratic protest programme was wrong.
He said while the police are ready to accord permission on an alternative site, Chandrababu Naidu is saying that no permission would ever be given to YS Jagan. He slammed the dubious standards and reminded him that the Congress government had in the past given permission to Chandrababu Naidu to hold fasts and dharnas. “Many persons including Anna Hazare and late NTR, had staged such democratic protests and were never barred. But, the TDP government is behaving differently when it came to YS Jagan,” he said.
