YSR Congress leader M V Mysoora Reddy on Thursday took strong exception over functioning of CBI as it was acting as if a puppet in the hands of Congress and TDP.

Clarifying that YSRCP was not against the courts and their verdicts; he said the CBI was acting in support of Congress and TDP. When Shankar Rao filed his petition against Jagan, the news reports appeared in a section of the press that the advocate who was acting as amicus curiae for the court was a close aide to one of the TDP leaders. It was an initiative for conspiracy laid to corner Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, he remarked.

Mysoora Reddy said CBI senior counsel Ashok Bhan has argued in the same case as a counsel of Jagan. He asked: Where are the moral values when a lawyer who argued for a plaintiff turned into a lawyer of the defendant? He recalled the verdicts by Madras High Court and Punjab court questioning propriety of the lawyer from shifting from plaintiff to the Defendant. It was an ideal example to show how the CBI had degraded its moral values.

Mysoora Reddy argued that what was the necessity for CBI Joint Director Lakshminarayana having consultations with Congress and TDP leaders. Can anybody deny the truth? Congress and TDP were influencing the court and on the other hand they were blaming YSRCP. He demanded clarification which Section of CRPC allowed the CBI to file number of chargesheets with one FIR. He challenged the Congress and the TDP to face by-elections or general elections.
