Caste Division, Power Politics Will Affect Economic Progress: Pawan​

Power Star Pawan Kalyan has the spotlight on him no matter what he's doing. His brush with controversies in the case of copyrights of Agnyaathavaasi and Mahesh Kathi's comments about him brought the actor back to his Twitter account after a week-long break.

The actor's following--as is usually the case with superstars--is such that he has always been backed to the hilt by his large fan club. A motivational quote sent to Pawan by one of his close friends prompted the actor to share it on his Twitter handle. It said,"People, who failed to defeat you in personality will always raise exceptions with your money, color and caste."

In a series of tweets, he also said,"The rise of caste division, caste polarisation & the power politics played around is truly alarming. It will not only hit economic progress but also it will do irreversible damage to our society and to the collective psyche of our society."

Pawan Kalyan was targeted by Big Boss contestant and film critic Mahesh Kathi, who made acerbic comments on the actor. Later, the film critic was flooded with several threatening calls and messages by the PK fans. A few memes comparing Mahesh Kathi with a pig also popped up on social media.
