Case registered against Chintamaneni

A case of assault was registered against Telugu Desam Party MLA, Chintamaneni Prabhakar and his gun-man at Eluru III Town Police Station in West Godavari district on Monday, following a complaint from a sub-inspector.

According to reports, the MLA was booked after his followers' alleged an altercation with the sub-inspector on Sunday night. Police took Chintamaneni and his gun-man into custody for questioning.

 It is worth mentioning here that the police also registered a case against Chintamaneni at Pedavegi police station on January 15  for allegedly attacking journalists during cockfights at Koppaka village.

Two journalists were injured when the  MLA and his followers allegedly kicked them while they were taking pictures of the fight.
