'Capital must be at mid of state'

“Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu is thinking of forming the capital at a place which is almost at an equidistant from all the places in the state, but not in border districts,” said Andhra Pradesh Minister for Civil Supplies Paritala Sunitha.

She replied in the above way when a reporter asked her response on the demands of making Kurnool as the capital of the state.

She visited in Kurnool district on Wednesday.

“However, I am also one of those persons who are demanding Kurnool to be made as the capital,” said the minister.

“Kurnool and Anantapur districts are the border districts. If the capital is formed at these places, it will be difficult for the people of other districts in the state. So, the capital must be at the mid of the state,” explained Sunitha.

Commenting on the hike of prices of essential commodities, she said, “I know the sufferings of the people with the hike of prices of these commodities. We are taking steps to control the prices.”
