Power star Pawan Kalyan's Agnyaathavaasi was the first film which released at the beginning of his year. But, the film couldn't live upto the audience's expectations and failed miserably at the box office. After that, Nandamuri Balakrisha's Jai Simha, Anushka's Bhaagamathie, Varun Tej's Tholi Prema and Nani's Awe did fantastic business in the first quarter of 2018 but they couldn't cross Rs 100 Cr share. Only one film achieved the feat and that was Mega Power star Ram Charan's Rangasthalam which started on a winning note. In the third week of its run, Rangasthalam grossed Rs 100 Cr share worldwide which is the first telugu film to hold non-baahubali record.

Another film which is faring well at the Tollywood box office is Superstar Mahesh Babu's Bharat Ane Nenu which is yet to touch Rs 100 share mark. We bet Bharat Ane Nenu will reach the magic figure soon within a couple of days.

Next, it will be the turn of Allu Arjun's Naa Peru Surya. It remains to be seen if the film will continue the mega actors' winning streak at the box office. (read Charan's Rangasthalam, Chiranjeevi's Khaidi No 150 and Varun Tej's Fidaa and Tholi Prema). According to sources, Naa Peru Surya has done a pre-release business of Rs 80 Cr. If Naa Peru Surya earns Rs 100 Cr share then the film will be considered as a superhit film in Tollywood.

Last year only two Telugu films got Rs 100 Cr shares at the box office. One was Prabhas' Baahubali and another Mega Star Chiranjeevi's Khaidi No 150. now, speculation is rife if Allu Arjun's Naa Peru Surya can do the same business and touch the Rs 100 Cr share at the box office. Is it possible for Allu Arjun's Naa Peru Surya to breach Rs 100 Cr mark. This has become a a hot topic of discussion in trade circles.

Naa Peru Surya is slated for release on May 4 and premieres will be held on Thursday in North America. Watch this space for review and collections.
