Only Call Data Records Can Reveal Nayeem’s Links With Power Corridors

Hyderabad: All eyes are on the call data record (CDR) that can expose the nexus among gangster Nayeem, police, government officials and politicians. SIT and experts in the police department are working on analyzing the call data record from all the SIM cards, mobile phones seized from several houses of Nayeem and his gang.

So far nothing has been confirmed about the links of gangster Nayeem with power corridors. Several allegations and complaints started unfolding since the encounter of Nayeem on July 8, however, so far Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing into cases against the slain gangster has not revealed any such link on record.

The main allegation is about an MLC of the ruling party in Telangana. The call of MLC can be verified only by examining CDR, according to SIT. Nethi Vidaysagar name was mentioned in a case registered with Bhongir police station. Gampaa Nagendra, a businessman in Bhongir, lodged a complaint against Nayeem saying he had extorted Rs 50 lakh from him threatening to kill him and his sons. Nagendra in his complaint clearly mentioned that the MLC had made a phone call to his neighbor asking him to convey the message to Nagendra to keep his mobile on, so that Nayeem could speak with him.

Nalgonda Police also examining several missing cases whether any role of Nayeem in them. Two complaints received by Nalgonda police about missing of two youngsters a year ago. The Cyberabad police searched a house of Fayeem in Mylardevpally police station area. Fayeem had worked as driver for Nayeem for sometime.

CDR analysis can reveal the role of different persons in Nayeem’s crime world. SIT said it was analyzing the CDR of all persons involved with Nayeem. Hence, all allegations can be ascertained only after the analysis of CDR.

A public representative in Nalgonda district is believed to have brokered a deal between Nayeem and a government school teacher, who received a threatening call for opening firecracker shop during Diwali. Nayeem had demanded Rs10 lakh for running firecracker shop being a government servant.

Meanwhile, Saggara Hari, another close associate of slain gangster Nayeem was arrested in Bhongir. Police has shifted him to SIT office in Hyderabad. The police arrested Hari based on a complaint against him in the local police station by Sunchu Narahari, an owner of electronics and sanitary shop in Bhongir. Hari hails from Kakinada and settled in Bhongir. It’s learnt that Hari threatened local businessmen and traders and carried out settlements through Nayeem in Bhongir.
