Bus becomes an inferno, students escape unscathed

Over 30 school students had a providential escape thanks to the alertness of the school bus driver and the cleaner.

The bus, which was on way to the school, came in touch with live wires. Suddenly, the bus caught fire. The incident occurred in Penumanchili in West Godavari district on Tuesday.

Seeing this, the driver and the cleaner stopped the bus and pulled the school children out of the bus. All the boys and girls were saved. The billowing smoke and fire soon engulfed the whole bus reducing it to bent and burnt rickety frame.

The police have booked a case.
