Burglars Strike At Former MLA’s Residence, Decamp With Rs 3 Lakh Worth Gold

Kakinada: Burglars gained entry into the residence of former Razole MLA Suryanarayana Raju and decamped with valuables worth Rs 3.7 lakh, 86 kms away from the district headquarters.

The incident occurred on Monday midnight when the burglars wearing masks entered the house and threatened the MLA's family members. Later, they decamped with gold ornaments worth Rs 3 lakh, Rs 75,000 in cash and two mobile phones.

Police rushed to the spot following a complaint lodged by the former MLA. A CLUES team and a dog squad were pressed into service to probe into the incident.
