Hyderabad: Visibly upset over the funds allocated to Telangana state in the recently announced Union Budget, minister for IT and Industries, KT Rama Rao took a dig at the Centre saying that the Baahubali-2 film collections were much more than the allocations made to the state.

In an informal chat with the media yesterday, KTR mentioned that the centre was not completely honouring its bifurcation promises. He pointed out that it was ignoring state's request for allotting Rs 50,000 crores for Mission Kakatiya, Mission Bhagiratha and Kaleshwaram.

KTR told that he would go to Delhi to extract more funds for the state. "The Union Budget is not understandable. We sought around Rs 50,000 crores for various schemes. But, the allocations did not even match the collections of Baahubali," he said.

True to the words of KTR, the centre has allocated, including all, not more than Rs 1000 crores, while the Baahubali-2 collections were close to Rs 1,700 crores.
