Hyderabad: An engineering final year student was rescued from a brothel house here at LN Nagar, Yousufguda, by the police on Monday.

According to the police, the victim, who is an engineering student studying here in the city, was trapped by one Naga Bhaskar alias Vikki into prostitution by promising her with good income and movie roles.

The girl, who is learnt to have been searching for chances in movies and short films, happened to meet Vikki and got trapped in the flesh trade.

The modus operandi of the accused Vikki is to target good looking woman and college-going students by offering them chances in short films and side-roles in low-budget movies. Two other assistants P Sai Durgaprasad alias Karthik and Dharma also help Vikki in getting the woman.

Later, they capture photographs of the woman on a pretext of photo-shoot for upcoming movies. Then, the photographs of the women are circulated among the prospective customers and known friends on WhatsApp.

The victim too got convinced by the gang after they promised her good money in prostitution and so that she can meet costumes and make-up expenses. More customers chose her after seeing the images on WhatsApp and came forward to give good price. Meanwhile, the police on Saturday raided the brothel house and rescued the victim. The police also rescued Mumbai-based model from the house.

After giving due counselling, the victims were shifted to Government Home for Girls at Nimboliadda. The police registered a case against the gang and the kingpin Vikki, The main accused Viki is at large while two assistants were sent for remand.
