Brother, His Classmate Held in 8-Year-Old Twins Rape Case

Hyderabad: In the twins' rape case Mylardevpally police arrested the victims’13-year-old brother and his classmate on Monday for molesting the girls.

Shamshabad ACP B Anuradha said that the two juveniles have been arrested and were produced before the Juvenile Justice Board.

"The 13-year-old accused saw his mother’s intimate relations with several men and also the exploitation by others on his sisters, following which he also started sexually abusing the girls and encouraged his classmate too," Anuradha said.

In the sexual assault of eight-year-old twins police have made three arrests earlier - Jaffar (40), his 16-year-old son, and Pradeep Agarwal, owner of a factory at Katedan on Sunday.

The incident came to light after the sisters revealed their ordeal to their teacher who then alerted a child rights NGO, which then approached the police.

"The traumatized girls refused to leave the company of a teacher at their school a few days ago. They told the teacher that they did not want to return home and begged to stay with her. The teacher alerted an NGO, which in turn alerted us later," said the official.
