Bride Walks Out Of Marriage After Groom Demands SUV

Saharanpur (UP): A bride walked out of her marriage ceremony protesting a demand of an SUV by the groom's family.

The incident occurred here last night during the ceremony when the groom made the demand and threatened to call off the marriage, Additional Superintendent of Police Prabal Pratap Singh said. Angry over the sudden demand, the bride's family members closed the doors of the banquet hall, not allowing the groom's family to leave the venue, he said. Both sides tried to negotiate the demand but all attempts failed as the groom was not ready to budge, the officer said.

"Seeing that the groom was adamant, the woman walked out of the marriage," police said.
