Kavuri greeted with eggs on official tour to West Godavari

Tempers were flared for sometime at Chintalapudi in West Godavari district after eggs were hurled at the convoy of Union textiles minister Kavuri Sambasiva Rao during his official tour on Tuesday.

Demanding Kavuri's resignation in support of Samaikyandhra, angry activists pelted eggs on his convoy and raised slogans against him.
Police rushed to the protesters and took them into custody. They also resorted to lathicharge to disperse the mob.
