An unexpected meeting between PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana and Sushil Kumar Shinde and other GoM ministers in New Delhi further reinforced the allegations on Congress party that it made the issue of the State bifurcation as absolutely its personal affair.
As the meeting lasted for nearly half an hour during the hectic schedules of GoM, it raised many eyebrows. Political parties of AP were invited to express their stand on Telangana issue in today and tomorrow’s meetings. GoM allocated only half an hour to the parties to express the concerns on State bifurcation. Amid this tight schedules, GoM sparing the same half an hour for Botsa, gave scope to criticism.
In fact, the representatives of Congress party are scheduled to meet GoM in evening session. Congress nominated Deputy Chief Minister C Damodar Rajanarsimha, who hails from Telangana region, and state Tourism Minister V Vasant Kumar, who belongs to coastal Andhra, to attend the meeting. Botsa’s meeting with GoM, prior to his party representatives also drew flak.
When media questioned on his surprise meeting, Botsa affirmed that he met Shinde only on latter’s invitation.
