Botsa forcing me to quit Congress:JC Diwakar Reddy

Former minister JC Diwakar Reddy on Tuesday indirectly accused PCC chief Botsa Satyaranayara as the reason behind him quitting the Congress Party. According to rumours, Diwakar, six-time MLA, might be leaving Congress.

He added that he didn't want to quit but Botsa Satyanarayana was persuading him to do so. "My desire is to stay back with Congress. But Botsa is not allowing me to stay."

However, he said that he has not taken a final call on whether he will quit the party or not. At the same the MLA said that his brother JC Prabhakar Reddy and his son can join any party they like.

Praising YSR Congress Party, Diwakar reiterated that it was the only party which is fighting for a United Andhra Pradesh. He also lambasted TDP for its 'double eye-theory' on the Telangana issue.

When asked on show cause notice from PCC, Diwakar said that he has not received any show-cause notice so far.

Meanwhile, PCC Disciplinary committee chairman Kanteti Satyanarayana Raju said they are preparing to issue a show cause notice to Diwakar. Raju also pointed out that PCC has all the authorities to issue a show-cause notice to any leader whoever he is.
