Hyderabad: YSR Congress Party official spokesperson Ambati Rambabu on Wednesday demanded Andhra Pradesh government to dispense even-handed justice for both Kapu and Backward Class (BC) communities in the state.

Speaking to media at party office in Hyderabad, Ambati alleged that AP government had been falsifying the Tuni incidents that took place during the Kapu Mahagarjana on January 31. He said chief minister Chandrababu Naidu was making the false allegations on YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy of Tuni incident.

Ambati criticised TDP chief faulting him for his hypocritical attitude towards Kapu community. He questioned Chandrababu Naidu why he filed cases against the Kapus while saying Kapus are kind of level-headed and they do not engage in violence. He is trying to split the unity of Kapus and instigating the BC people in the state simultaneously. Rambabu demanded both the communities must be even-handed.

The YSRCP leader alleged that the sabotage in Tuni incident was done by the TDP cadres only. He said there are ministers in the government from Kapu community and not to vitiate the movement which is at its peak stage.

Ambati also questioned that why TDP MLA and BC leader R. Krishnaiah was opposing the reservation for Kapus when Chandrababu promised it in his party's manifesto at the time of Assembly elections. Why the terms of reference of Justice KL Manjunatha-headed AP BC Commission and the full-fledged appointment of BC Commission are not yet finalised, he questioned.
