Female Lead In Shahid Kapoor’s ‘Jersey’ Confirmed

Super 30 and Batla House actress Mrunal Thakur who attracted the audience with her power packed performances in both the films, will now be seen as female lead in Shahid Kapoor's 'Jersey' which is a remake of the Telugu hit which had actor Nani in the original version.

The film is directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri who also helmed the Telugu version. Produced by Allu Arvind, Aman Gill and Dil Raju, the film will be hitting screens in August 2020.

Talking about the casting Mrunal in the film, Gowtam said to a daily, "After Shahid, I only had Mrunal in my mind for the lead opposite him. I believe she will do full justice to the role".

According to sources, Mrunal will be playing the role of anchor to Shahid, who goes on an emotional journey against all odds to play cricket for the country in his mid 30's.
