Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor starrer 'Saaho' have garnered Rs 400 crore in the global box-office. However, the film was slammed by critics with many calling it a 'all stunt and no story' film.

Lead actor Shraddha Kapoor told a leading entertainment website that she was astonished by box-office record that the film made. She also added that 'Saaho' was the highest-grossing film of her career.

“I'll be really honest that the Friday when the reviews were out, you know those kind of reviews you feel like okay, this film is not going to work. But what was really astonishing was the fact that the audiences were loving the film. So I was like wait a minute, what is happening? Then I told myself that just wait and watch what happens. So one end you have these two differences and the film is ultimately doing well , it's been my highest grosser till date. So it's like I mean, how do you know what's going to connect with the audiences?” Shraddha was quoted saying.

Shraddha also came to her director Sujeeth's defence saying it is ultimately the audience who gives the final verdict. Reacting to critics of the film, Sujeeth had said that critics are judging him and the film as if he had committed a crime.

“Really? No I feel like the ultimate people, the ones who give the result is the audience. At the end of the day, they are the ones who buy a ticket and go watch your film and they are the bosses. So if they love the film then who can question anything?” Shraddha added.

The 'Chhichhore' actor also added that earlier when the critics review were bad, the film would generally not do well, but now the trend has reversed, she says.

"Usually, it's like maybe if the film has got bad reviews then it will not do well but there's no rule anymore,” she says.

Saaho released on August 31, and in the first three days crossed Rs 200 crore worldwide.
