I Loved Vijay Devarakonda: Shahid Kapoor

Shahid Kapoor shared his first official picture of his upcoming film Kabir Singh. The actor took to Instagram with a title that said on set "#kabirsingh. With a clean shaven look the monochrome pic reminds us of Vijay Devarakonda’s look in the first half of the film Arjun Reddy, which is being remade into Hindi with Shahid Kapoor. It looks like he is wearing a headphone and the actor looks pretty young and intense in this still.

Earlier in an interview Shahid said that he never saw much of telugu films , but Arjun Reddy surprised him with its tonality, rawness, simplicity and the character was very fascinating for him as an actor because the emotional arc… was very original. I loved it and Vijay Deverakonda, who played Arjun, did it so well he said.

Kabir Singh will be shot in Mumbai, Delhi and Mussoorie. Shahid will be seen donning four different looks in the film. Kabir Singh also features Kiara Advani in the lead role and Shahid has already begun filming. The film is directed by Sandeep Vanga, who directed the Telugu version - Arjun Reddy which was Blockbuster hit for both the director, producer and the hero Vijay Devarakonda.

The film is jointly produced by T series and Cine 1 Studios and they plan to release Kabir Singh by June 21 2019.
