New Delhi: A partially blind school teacher of a government school here was arrested after he has been accused of molesting the students for the past one year.

According to the police, the accused is working as a Hindi teacher in the North Delhi's government school and is residing at a flat in the city along with his wife, who is also a physically disable person.

The abuse came to light after the some of the students informed police, when they visited the school to interact with the girl students to bring awareness on the child abusing. The programme called Operation Nirbheek helped the students to put forward their woes before the female police personnel.

A case was registered on the teacher on the complaint of a girl student on February 9 and he was taken into custody. A second complaint was also filed by a boy student on February 12. After the two complaints, several other students mostly from the Classes 6 to 10 came forward and have complained.

The teacher was taken into custody by the police based the various complaints by victim students and the visually impaired teacher was sent to jail.
