Hyderabad: The BJP is preparing to publicise the full list of funds allocated by the Central government to Telangana and utilisation of the sanctioned amount by the state government.

The BJP is preparing for the counter attack in view of the CM K Chandrasekhar Rao’s comments on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It may be recalled that the Union ministers did not respond to repeated comments by Telangana ministers on the NDA government. However, as the CM made personal comments on Prime Minister Modi and also stated that meager funds were given to the state, the BJP has decided to go on the offensive. As part of the BJP offensive, Central ministers have taken up a department-wise review of the funds sanctioned and utilised by the Telangana government. They stated that the state government failed to implement several Central schemes. They include Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana and also Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. While these schemes were successful throughout the country and were well-received by the people, they failed in Telangana, state BJP leaders said.

Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Thursday said Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao using a particular Telugu word for Prime Minister Narendra Modi has upset her, others in the BJP and even the entire country. She told reporters here that though the Chief Minister's son KT Rama Rao conveyed to her that it was a slip of the tongue, she feels that the clarification should have come from the Chief Minister himself. Later, on Friday, she held a meeting with Telangana BJP leaders and spoke about the proposed review by Central ministers of the funds allocated to the state.

Meanwhile, Telangana BJP president Laxman sent the video clipping of KCR comments to BJP national president Amit Shah. The video clipping was sent along with letters highlighting comments by TRS leaders against the NDA government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
