The collector herself came to know of it and expressed anger at depicting her in such a manner. She immediately asked the organisation - New Millenium Friends Asocation in Kazipet’s Bapuji Nagar - to remove the statue.

Warangal: Bizarre as it may sound, some youths of Warangal had set up a Ganesh pandal with infant Ganesha lying in the lap of mother Parvathi. The only problem was that Parvathi looked exactly like their district Collector Amrapali. The pics and the footage of Amrapali Ganesh went viral on social media with people expressing shock, dismay and some even abomination.

The collector herself came to know of it and expressed anger at depicting her in such a manner. She immediately asked the organisation - New Millenium Friends Asocation in Kazipet's Bapuji Nagar - to remove the statue. Bowing to her wishes, the youths painted the face of ''mother'' in black to avoid further controversy and criticism.

The 35-year-old high profile district collector is always in the news for her comments, unorthodox working style and her sartorial choices. She made headlines when she booked several hundred tickets first day first show for Baahubali 2. Then she advised the job aspirants to learn the art of lying to the interviewers. The last time she hit the headlines was when she went on a forest outing in fashionable jeans.
